My mother ran a homeless shelter for 25 years in Manchester New Hampshire. She taught me how to be an advocate to those with lesser means, to help people who cannot help themselves.
I became a lawyer because the legal system is made up of just everyday people who also can have their own biases and prejudices. If a person is not represented well, this can easily be piled on top of them.
The law is a lawyer-driven process, and everyday I get an opportunity to make the process work.
If the lawyer is not in there making things happen, pushing for a result and advocating on behalf of the client, things do not get done.
Despite the size of F&A, we have maintained a small town, accessible feel for our clients.
I love working at F&A, I am the first of 12 attorneys here and have now been here for over a decade.
We are the largest criminal defense firm in southern Maine. Much of the Judiciary and Bar would agree that F&A has the best stable of attorneys in Maine.
In addition to great legal expertise at F&A, we have extraordinary people here who geniuely care about each other and every one of our clients; we are a family here at F&A.
