Kevin has significant experience representing clients with mental health and substance abuse issues. He has negotiated resolutions to countless cases so as to have a limited impact on his clients’ records while giving his clients an opportunity to address the issues that led to criminal allegations in the first place.
Kevin has developed a niche practice area representing victims of sex trafficking. Using his knowledge of the legal system and restorative justice, he strives to see that these victims receive the help they need to improve their lives. He has made presentations on sex trafficking to such groups as the Maine Bar Association and the Maine Judicial Branch, who selected him as one of four invitees to a national conference on sex trafficking in October 2015.
After graduating from law school, Kevin served as a law clerk for four justices of the Maine Superior Court, assisting with legal research and drafting legal opinions. Prior to joining Fairfield & Associates, he worked for another Cumberland County law firm where he focused on criminal defense and family matters.
